The EPIC Foundation has identified a need in many of the communities to assist underprivileged girls and boys with outfits for their matric farewell. Due to the financial constraints in acquiring an outfit, many leaners do not attend their matric farewell. This has become a rite of passage and marks the end of their high school career. It also provides an opportunity for closure and preparation for life after high school. An inability to close this chapter can be a humiliating experience and often has devastating effects on those who are unable to attend due to financial constraints out of their control. Epic Foundation uses this project to connect with the children to make it easier for them to talk about rape and abuse in their homes.
