Comfort Pack Project

Project targeted at:

  • Survivors of GBV
  • Survivors of human trafficking
  • Women and children arriving at shelters
  • Children preparing for court days

Objectives of the project:

  • Furnish survivors with essential toiletry items to aid them during the initial reporting process at hospitals, crisis centers, or police stations.
  • After giving their statement and having a medical examination, survivors will have the opportunity to clean up. All the necessary items to assist with this will be provided in the pack.
  • Since clothing that may contain DNA must be preserved as evidence, clean underwear is a crucial item provided in these packs.
  • Where feasible, additional clothing is also offered.
  • Many women who seek refuge at shelters arrive without personal belongings, and in some cases, they are accompanied by their children. Special bags are prepared for them containing enough toiletry items to last them through the month.
  • Court preparation packs are specifically designed for children undergoing court preparations. These packs aim to provide children with extra snacks and activity toys, as they may need to endure lengthy waits in court during the proceedings.
