OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTS OF THE FOUNDATION

The main objective of the EPIC Foundation will be the management of various projects and initiatives aimed at assisting victims of rape and abuse, which will include women in shelters. Other ad hoc projects will also be undertaken to help people in crisis and support other charities.

Making a difference

Alta McMaster, CEO of Epic Foundation, has come a long way since she first began the Comfort Pack Project from her home in 2010.

In 2013 Epic Foundation was registered and in June of the same year Alta won the Lead SA Award. “This was absolutely amazing and gave me the boost I needed to carry on and further expand projects which can help community members. The Comfort Pack Project is for survivors of rape and abuse and is used at the initial reporting phase at police stations. We also do these packs for women and children arriving at shelters.
